IRON NEST: Heavy Turret Simulator

Rotator

Rotator system guide for IRON NEST.

Role

The Rotator sets turret bearing: the horizontal direction Iron Nest is facing before a shot. Use it after reading the operational map and before final elevation checks, because a correct shell and powder setup will still miss if the turret is not pointing at the computed bearing.

How to use it

Rotate Iron Nest to the bearing from your map solution, then pause long enough to confirm the target marker, mission objective, and shell plan still match. If the target changes, a counter-battery marker appears, or the mission asks for a different reference point, redo the bearing step instead of only adjusting elevation.

Operating checklist

Check the map bearing, set the Rotator, confirm the Loader has the intended shell and powder charges, then use the Elevator for vertical aim. The Rotator is the station to revisit when shots are consistently landing left or right of the intended marker.
