Role
The Elevator sets the gun's vertical angle. It turns the range result from your firing solution into the elevation used for the shot, so it is tied directly to the selected shell type and powder charges.
How to use it
Set the elevation produced by the calculator for the chosen shell and charge. Recheck the value any time the Loader changes powder charges, because the same bearing can require a different elevation when the charge count or shell behavior changes.
Operating checklist
Confirm the Loader first, set the Elevator second, and use the Rotator to keep the bearing aligned. If shots are consistently short or long while the bearing is correct, treat the Elevator, shell choice, and powder charges as the first things to audit.
